Auto replacement of PVE leavers with equivalent level NPC
Seriously, why the hell is this not in the game already?
You're in a group, both your monks leave. The mission is rendered uncompletable.
So if someone leaves your team and disconnects, they should be instantly replaced with an equivalent level NPC of the same primary class.
God, this is SO OBVIOUS. Why is it not in the game already? I've had it up to here with leavers and this would be a dream addition for me.

It's the most gobsmackingly obvious fix to the problem of leavers. WHy it hasn't been done already GOD ALONE KNOWS.

Why? It'd take no programming effort at all. They could knock it out this afternoon.
Guy leaves the party. Say a 20 monk. A 20 monk NPC spawns at the spot where he left. Done and dusted. There's no reason not to have it and the headaches it would prevent would be seriously worth it.

Since they can do heroes who can use any skill in the game, they could add replacement henchies using the same profession and skills as the person who left as well.
I'd be happy with a generic replacement hench too.

Its being suggested around.
The way I hope to see is where when a player drop, he will leave a pusdo-corpuse on the ground. (show a bit differnt from the regular body). The drop player will than be able to join back to that game (given a time limit), and "rez" him/her self doing so. (use for Accidental drops)
Other player can also rez that body, which instead of rezing that character, will instead be rezing a generic (depend on the primary proffession) AI hench, so they can continue the fight. Of couse, this also mean the drop player will not be able to get back into that game at that point.
Of couse, doing so might also lead to "clone merc", where lots Monk offer to join in, and drop off after the game (so you would have 1 player and 7 other AI monk hench)... or something like that...

yea this is something that is really needed. at least if anyting in fort aspenwood and other pvp type areas where the players don't get replaced. having replacements should've been something done in chapter 2 tbh, since its been a problem forever.

You get replacement henchies if you get leavers in HA, but thats only after you win, not during the match. So not sure if its that easy to just slot in NPCs.

the only problem i can see is how the npc spawns when you have already instanced? As said in HA you get hench replacements if someone leaves, but only after you instance again... im not so sure this can be done that easily

I cant see Anet putting a facility in to replace "leavers", it isnt very realistic that another character would magically apear in your party menu.
A realistic way to do it would be to use the NPCs who stand near resurrection shrines. Allow you to add them to partys.
If someone leaves, and you then have an empty space, you can go and add one of them. Or perhaps hire them for a small fee (50 gold).
But this should only be allowed in instances, and not mission.
Missions should be prone to issues like "leavers". Its harsh, and its annoying and frustrating, but its whats happens. Its the consiquence of using humans over henches.
Missions are meant to be hard and your incouraged to use humans to do them, so you have to be prepared to handle issues which follow that. Like "leavers".
You just have to make sure you pick good teams for missions and quests.
But Anet has tried to render this by giving us Heroes in nightfall. Which as basically far better henches who actually give us a realistic choice between using either humans or Heroes.

WTF are you talking about what SHOULD happen is when a player quits the npc replacment should come instantly with the same skills and stats no messing no conditions (as in no conditions for switch not cured of poison etc) as the player was at time of quitting (eg if they were dead they are still dead) also an "ai takeover" button should be added so say if you need the toilet you can let the ai finish the battle and when your back nons the wiser what u think . also add it to pvp
